Tasks:
The primary tasks of the Wastewater Treatment Plant are as follows:
- Treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater to return it to a quality that is safe to return to the St. Mary's river. The plant treats in excess of 900 million gallons of wastewater yearly.
Other tasks of the Wastewater Treatment Plant include:
- Operation of a series of sewage lift stations that is used in transporting the wastewater from individual houses to the treatment plant.
