Visit this Office If:
- You have a problem or a question with city water quality (most complaints are handled over the phone).
Special Information:
- Normal working hours are 6am-6pm, 7 days/week.
- If anyone experiences water quality problems after these hours, call the Police Department at 632-3344 and they can page the "On-Call" person.
Tasks:
The primary tasks of the Water Treatment Plant are as follows:
- Operate and maintain the Water Treatment plant, Raw Water Pumpstation, two booster pump stations and four elevated storage tanks.
- Complete treatment of St. Mary's river water into drinking water and pump it into the distribution system.
Other tasks of the Water Treatment Plant include:
- Perform bacteria analysis for Chippewa County Health Department and for smaller local communities.
